CSL Certification Component 3: Directed Readings

The third component of Certification in Service Learning is the directed readings.  You are required to read the four selections below.  The purpose of the readings is not only to give you a more complete understanding of service learning as an approach to learning, community engagement, and leadership but also to contextualize your independent and classroom experiences in the literature and encourage your engaged critical thinking about service learning.  The four selections have been chosen for their relevance to the process of Certification in Service Learning as well as their importance in the field.
