Our mission is to make service learning a priority and core practice at the University of Kansas. Service learning fosters better understanding of classroom material, is a catalyst for innovative leadership and social responsibility, and drives positive change in the world. We inspire action by creating initiatives that connect, advocate, elevate, and challenge.

The Center for Service Learning congratulates all 227 students who received their Certification in Service Learning during the 2007-2008 school year!

- Don’t Be Shy, Certify! -

Get an early start on making sure that you are recognized for the meaningful work you’re doing in your classes and the community. Get official documentation on your KU transcript for the hard work you’ve done in service learning courses and at volunteer agencies in the area. You’re already a civic leader, an engaged learner, and a community promoter. Now make sure everyone knows it! Get certified today.

We encourage all students to inquire about earning their certification in service learning. Please contact our office at csl@ku.edu to identify any qualifying work you may have already completed!
